(Coming) Exhibition at Fair Art Amsterdam KunstRai – Anna Gray, Richard Meitner, Ma Hui, Jiang Wei, TAMEN, Zhai Xuanhong

We warmly welcome you to visit Oooit Art Booth No.93 at https://kunstrai.nl/en/
Address: Amsterdam RAI, Hal 8 (Parkhal), Europaplein 24, 1078 GZ, Amsterdam
Date: 30 April – 4 May 2025

At this fair, we will present works by six artists who are represented by Oooit Art: Amsterdam-based artist Anna Gray explores the complexity and beauty of science, focusing particularly on concepts that remain elusive to us—such as time, light, and the way the human body perceives and occupies space. Her work will also be featured at the Statue Square at the entrance of the fair. Richard Meitner, alongside Mieke Groot, led the Glass Department at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam from 1981 to 2000. Through both his own creations and his active role in international glass art education in the past decades, Richard has made a profound and visible impact on the field of glass art. Ma Hui, a Chinese artist based in Amsterdam, masterfully integrates Eastern and Western cultural elements in her work. Her art combines the unique resilience and strength of femininity, harmoniously blending the poetic essence of traditional Eastern painting with the expressive power of Western abstraction. Since we began representing Jiang Wei last year, this Chinese artist—whose life bears striking parallels to that of Van Gogh—has captured the attention of top collectors. His emotionally charged and life-affirming paintings have deeply moved and inspired audiences. The latest works by TAMEN have recently been included in an upcoming UK publication on Chinese Surrealism. At the fair, we will showcase a series of the fantastical, seemingly absurd scenes that continuously shift and challenge our perceptions of the world. Zhai Xuanhong’s backlit painting installation demonstrates how monochromatic paintings, through the interplay of backlighting, can create subtle yet powerful variations in light and shadow, offering viewers a layered and immersive visual experience.
