About our artists:

Jiang Wei: Since we launched Jiang Wei’s first solo exhibition in June last year, the resilient vitality in his works has resonated with an ever-growing audience. This exhibition will showcase a series of acrylic works on paper created in his hometown. Through his brushstrokes, he captures the transition from snow-covered landscapes to the arrival of spring, transforming the most ordinary and muted moments into something vibrant and romantic.

Jiang Wei (born in Liaoning in 1983) graduated in 2007 from the School of New Media Art and Design at Beihang University, majoring in Painting. He previously worked as a UX Designer. Due to a long-term struggle with schizophrenia, he began dedicating himself full-time to oil painting in 2019.

Ma Hui: Having lived in the Netherlands for over 30 years, this female artist combines the poetic essence of traditional Chinese ink painting with the abstract forms of Western art. Her works invite viewers to experience the interplay of water and ink, evoking reflections on the cycles of life and the traces of time.

Ma Hui was born in 1958 in Chengde, China, attended the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 1977, and graduated in 1982. In 1987, she moved to Europe, studying and working in Switzerland and the Netherlands. She now resides in Amsterdam, where she established her own art studio. In 2010, Ma Hui received the Aemstelle Prijs for her work in the Netherlands.

TAMEN: The works will be presented in the form of limited-edition prints. Set against a backdrop of iceberg landscapes, they continue their artistic dialogue and experiments within the imagery. Their works blend the realism and fragmentation of the art world with dreamlike colors, delivering a theatrical sense of absurdity and humor.

TAMEN (in English meaning: They, Them) is a Chinese art duo founded by artists Lai Shengyu (Born in 1979, Hu Nan province) and Yang Xiaogang (Born in 1978, Hunan Province) in 2002. They both graduated from the Central Academy of fine arts majoring in printmaking, and both received bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Jinxiao Zhou: a Chinese artist based in Utrecht, whose multifaceted practice includes painting, writing, performance, and participatory installations. His paintings that appear harmonious and alluring on the surface, yet hold raw, unsettling truths beneath. Zhou’s themes often revolve around eroticism, alienation, and resilience, documenting inner landscapes of both the self and marginalized communities. In the public area of the fair, we are invited to curate 7-meters mixed media on paper art installation

Born in Sichuan, China (1990), Zhou trained in painting at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and later earned an MFA from HKU University of the Arts, Utrecht. His work has been recognized with the 2021 Prince Claus Seed Award.
